Greeting you at the pool, watching over you at your villa,
and hiding behind bushes to surprise you are 33 statues
of Buddha scattered around the 2.5 hectares -- 6.5 acres -- of
land surrounding Murni's Villas.
Click on the pictures for larger pictures. Click on the red balls for
medium-sized images --

This is one of two traditional Balinese rice
barns built on stilts.

One of the statues facing your villa, taken just after sunrise. On the
right is the view from Villa 3. Adventurous
guests can walk down past the shrine, across the paddy field dikes and
explore the other side of the hill.

The decorations on the shrines change with the seasons and the ceremonies.
There are four shrines on the property in addition
to the many statues. This is the largest.

This is the bridge over the pond with Villas 1 and 2 in the background.
Murni's villa is just to the left. The picture on the right is shows the
early morning mist in the background and Toby
keeping an eye on things.

One of the best ways to wake up in the morning is
to visit one of the ponds to check for a new lotus and then into the pool
for a real eye-opener -- although breakfast
on the verandah has its charms.
